Rick & the Revolving Doors started in 2009 when Rick Hogue began to play out with various musicians doing original material. Through the years there have been quite a few incarnations as Hogue worked with various musicians each time a show was scheduled. In its current incarnation, R&RD came about during COVID when guitarist Rick Hogue & bassist Gary Hewitt were listening to a band & agreed it was time to put a band together.

Hewitt, a longtime professional musician who’d toured nationally & internationally brings a rock solid foundation & professional attitude. Hogue, a vintage guitar aficionado & owner of Garrett Park Guitars has played in bands for years, including the Swampdaddies & in the past few years has performed his original music with Rick & the revolving doors. The next phone call was to John Sellman, singer, keyboardist, bass player and drummer, and from that core guitarist Mike Morton, singer Brittany Biondo and drummer Larry Dennis were added to complete the current band.

Rick Hogue

Rick grew up in the church with music and has been in bands since the 1990s and also performs original material with the band and with a solo project.

John Sellman

John has been involved in music since childhood and in addition to being worship leader in his church, he also performs with Fire Kite and many other bands. Sellman is a multi-instrumentalist with a powerful voice rooted in Gospel and Soul.

Lead Guitar

Mike Morton

Mike spends his time as a freelance musician performing with various bands, theatre groups, and as a solo/duo artist in the Baltimore-Washington area. When he is not gigging he is producing audio & video assets from his home studio with his group Liquid Robots and teaching people music from all walks of life. His main joy is teaching theater and music to amazing neurodiverse students of the Baltimore area.

For over 20 years, she has performed in the Baltimore/Annapolis area, entertaining audiences of all ages with a broad range of musical influences and genres, and currently works in several musical projects, including a couple of area wedding bands.

Gary Hewitt

Gary is from Los Angeles, CA has been a professional musician since high school and has performed with Country Artist Gary Allen among others touring the US and most of Europe.

Larry Dennis

Larry grew up in Severn Maryland and has drummed since he was very young in his church and dozens of other projects.
